India beat Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test match, giving India a one-nil lead in the two-match series. In the first Test played between India and Bangladesh in Chennai, India scored 376 runs in their first innings, in reply, the Bangladesh team was bowled out for just 149 runs in their first innings.
